Retail Associate Position

In our Grooming Salon, we will provide kennel free holding areas with gated, picket fence enclosures and faux grass. Our open concept Grooming suites will have a relaxed spa-like feeling.

We will also have a private Wellness suite, which will have a more secluded bathing and grooming experience to the pet with additional care needs.

In our boutique, we will supply premium pet nutritional products for cats and dogs. Our natural and organic food, treats, and supplements are sourced from exclusive suppliers and made with the highest quality of ingredients. We will also have an extensive assortment of cat and dog toys, collars and leashes, clothing, and other pampered pet essentials.  

Providing comfort and safety to our furry clients will be top priority.

Responsibilities 

​

Handling animals with care, compassion, and consideration

Communicating with boutique customers and pet parents 

Recommending product to customers 

Using POS System (Clover) and keeping track of all sales transactions 

Answering calls and offering info to potential customers. 

Forwarding calls to grooming/wellness reception to schedule appointments

Inputting boutique product data and inventory into POS system

Updating inventory and notifying store manager regarding reordering

Assisting with customer concerns or complaints about product

Daily cleaning, tidying, organizing, stocking, and overseeing of the boutique.   

 Working as a pack team member

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: 

 

Retail and cashier field experience 

POS System training (Clover)

Customer care and communication skills

Ability to recommend product to customers

Pet products knowledge of what we sell (nutrition, treats, and supplements and lifestyle and toys) Training will be provided for this

​

Recommended Skills:

 

Pet store sales experience and working in the pet supply/grooming industry

Extensive knowledge of dog and cat nutrition (further training will be provided for this if interested)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

 

Salary: From $28,000 per year (starting at $15/hour)
